DC should put a classic 40's era archer like Golden Arrow in the JSA. They could make it the grandson of the original and the original could be some old man mentor for the curret.

Wasn't the original's adventures set in the Old West? That might be pushing it to keep him around, although I am, in fact, shocked that DC hasn't used the name elsewhere.

I'd rather just see Connor Hawke in JSA. Shoot, they could just change his name to Golden Arrow as well as his costume color. Seems to have worked for Red Arrow.

>Connor Hawke should be the new Golden Arrow. It is a great idea. I hope DC uses it.

Comics were very inconsistant in their portrayal of the Old West at the time that it's not always easy to tell if it's the Old West or not. While most of the stories, it seems obviously that it is the Old West, I also recall seeing a story or two that suggested it was the modern day West, just with the O.W. trappings (ie, everyone still gets around on horseback and dress in period clothes, but they have modern telephones in their homes).

A lot of the Vigilante series had the vague suggestion he was in the Old West as well. The OW connection was largely ignored with Vigilante so why not with a new Golden Arrow? If they can un-brain damage Connor tho' I'd love to see him take the identity and join the JSA.

I'd like to see him join as "Golden Arrow", with a wink at him being the legacy of the Golden Age Green Arrow.
