So far I have enjoyed the legacy angle of the new Justice Society series. In the latest issue the either induct, attempt to induct, or imply they are inducting a number of new "legacy" heroes. Amazing Man makes perfect sense and while the new Mr. America is a bit of a stretch, it works. Judomaster seems rather out of place like another Thom Starman character that no one knows what the heck is going on with. TBA Black Lightening child #2 has absolutely no place in this group, let the Titans train her. The supposed most important legacy character who is a desendant of Franklin Roosevelt just seemed like a quickly tossed in joke. The legacy angle doesn't make sense to me and his whole "I don't know how I got my powers but they showed up one day and I'm all gung ho to use them to fight" attitude just doesn't jive with me. It appears someone has taken a very good idea for a direction in this series somehow managed to cheapen it up considerably. With the nes on the horizon that there will be "growing pains" in the near future for the JSA and the announcement of a true new version of Infinity, Inc., it's obvious where this headed but I wish they didn't have to waste the pages of a comic I normally enjoy so much to get this launched.
