This story arc is finally over! Thank God! Let's hope the JSA can get back to some faster paced story lines soon.

It was an okay story but suffered from being stretched out and too clearly a fanwish project. Still, I did feel for Superman and his heroism shined thru in the end which was lovely and very well done. A fitting way to end it. \:\)
Oddly Superman is going to leave a bit of a void in the book now that he's gone.

There were some other nice bits of brief character scattered around but Gogs background and fate were a bit anti-climatic, especially given that his link to Kingdom Come, if any, was undetermined.

What Happened to KC Green Lantern & Co again....? \:\!

How was the closing issue? Won't get it until January is all over, so full spoilers please.

this is the true sequel to kingdom kome (heh)! forget your the kingdom crap. this was it. so, after a brief, but silly fight, gog ends up with his head (only) plopped down on the source wall. i don't know how he got beheaded, but continued to talk like it was nothing. how did his head come off to begin with? i mean, what superman just pulled it off? huh...some god he turned out to be. lame! then, before he "dies", he gave superman a shot in the back which effectively made that same hole on his back side shirt as the one in the end of the supes vs. cap marv fight in kc. then, supes goes back to the exact moment right after the bomb exploded. from here on, we see the same sequence of events as in kc. except now, there is an added bonus: it goes on to show that superman's and wonderwoman's children/decendants will give rise to some supermen, then some disasters, then some fruitopias, then legion of superheros, then he's all really old (bent, cane, bald, scrawny...) and looking up at the sky at the flying people that he made possible. sniff, i kinda got choked up there in the end.

I also got choked up as well. A perfect ending to a great storyline!

It is also my final issue of JSA. A perfect jump off point.
