Subj: Does JJ Thunder Still Exist?

OK, with two JSA teams in two different books and even an 80 page one shot that just came out and a recent special, why is Jakeem Thunder nowere to be seen? I find him to be a much more interesting character than half of the new ones and he seems to be completely ignored. This has been going on for way too long and it gets more irritating every time they expand the team.

On another note, in the newest issue of JSA, #44, we get Green Lantern at death's door yet again, a supposedlt retiring Flash, and Mr. Terrific losing his intelligence! Do the writers at DC not realize that you can have decent stories without having to constantly put characters in mortal danger or some other contrived circumstance that will apparently take them out of the group but never ultimately does? I would LOVE to see this comic concentrate on solid one to two issue stories that concentrate on having the team battle super villians or solve crimes that don't always have to threaten to "change things forever". Stop crying wolf DC and give us some good stories.

The recent alternate Nazi future storyine was a good one but, of course, it was obvious from the begining it would be resolved without impacting the present. My one major complaint for this story, aside from the typically slow but not as bad as usual pacing, is that once again we end up with an unrepentant villian, in this case Kid Karnevil, who almost kills a couple of JSA members and nearly dooms the world, carted off to prison at the end. I would have stood up and cheered if Mr. Terrific had shot him in the head and dumped his body in the river at the end of the story. It really makes the superheroes look stupid to leave loose cannons like this running around where they can escape and kill more people in the end and it's hard to believe if he stood trial that he wouldn't get the death penalty anyway.

I am starting to understand why there isn't more conversation on this board any more.
