Subj: Somewhat Surprisingly, I'll Miss Power Girl...... [Minor Spoilers]

I never felt Power Girl would last very long in a title, what with Supergirl and Wonder Woman out there for example, and in a sense I was right. But in the end Power Girls demise is not particularly due to flagging sales and definitly not the lack of originalty or quality as i'd feared - right from the start this book has been a very pleasant and fun read and with a style quite unlike a majority of books on the stands. Power Girl has always been a strong character and here we get to see that developed into something that goes beyond her stereotypical origins as a womens lib creation, times have changed and pleasantly Power Girl changed with them and adapted to find her own place in the DCU.

Granted a lot of the direction of this series came from threats outside the book such as Maxwell Lord but Justice League:Generation Lost was much like Power Girl, in that it proved an unexpected hit.
Two books that proved quality writing and a strong sense of style can still impress on an audience and make a book bigger than its initial promise would suggest. Joining the two books together was a smart strategy as it turns out and with a bit more thought the whole Max Lord conspiracy could have run and run, certainly there are still questions left over from his pursuit of Power Girl and yet as it stands it is almost certain we'll never see Max again... even Power Girls fate is unclear after September.

But In terms of the JSA Power Girl has alway been a link between the original generation JSAers and the up & Coming, her role in the modernday team mirrors the one she had in the initial Infinity Inc issues where she unwillingly mediates between the two generations of heroes and in a fluid and evolving world that's a nice aspect to the character. So it was nice (and completely appropriate) that in her final issue she is seen having to help and rescue the JSA's youngest prodigy - Stargirl.... I found that a fitting touch. Nice as well to see an appearance by the oddly endearing 'Da Bomb' and his man-crush on PG! \:\-\*

Fun to follow, always a revelation, and in the end maybe it is best it goes out now, On a high. Bye bye PG! 8\-\)
