....... the New Batman of Earth 2!!!!!!

Given that it was revealed in Earth 2 #2 that Tyler-Chem bought out Wayne Enterprises, the fact that Robinson stated that the New Batman will play a major role within the Multiverse and the fact that Rex Tyler found out Bruce Wayne was Batman is what gave me this theory.

Rex Tyler aka the Batman. Very plausible. If true, canna wait to see combining the Miraclo Pill tech with the Batman tech.

Can you say ...... Batman: Earth 2 ongoing series!!!!!

Hm, yeah! That's great observation! You've convinced me. \(yes\)

I was nursing the idea Batman v.2 might be Harvey Dent, but Robinson has been clear that he has strict instructions not to unneccesarily duplicate existing Earth-1 characters. So no Lex Luthor of Joker for example. Now it's possible of course that Batman will be an unknown, but Robinson has also made clear his identity will be a secret for a little while, so clearly it's someone we should know.

Rex Tyler might seem an odd choice given he's historically Hourman, but the fact he was mentioned as having bought out Waynetech and its assets is surely a clue Robinson planted early... if it's not Tyler it's someone close to him.

You've sold me. O\:\-\)

In http://www.newsarama.com/17692-batman-of-earth-2-first-look.html James Robinson says "This isn't some new person coming in to be Batman. This is definitely a part of Batman lore." Yes, Hourman is technically a part of Batman lore since both were in the JSA, but I suspect it's not.

Now let's consider the above comment that "Robinson has been clear that he has strict instructions not to unneccesarily duplicate existing Earth-1 characters. So no Lex Luthor of Joker for example." I also think it should be a character previously established as being on one of the previous Earth 2 incarnations. With those things in mind...I got nuthin' LOL

Somebody who is part of Batman lore... I'd be tempted to say it's a version of Dick Grayson, but then we come back the no duplication rule. It would be confusing him with the Bat/Grayson we've see on Earth-1 so I rule that one out. Harvey Dent is still a name I favor, but if we want to bypass the no-duplicates rule then the odds are it's someone unexpected and obscure... they just made the new Batwing be related to Lucius Fox for example, so could the new Batman be a Fox? Or someone similarly connected to Batman lore such as... Jim Gordon? \(phone\)

A Flying Fox?

How about a new Blackwing? That's a name that's dropped out of the lore.

Blackwing is a Marvel character. (Several, actually.)

Not aware of DC ever having someone of that name.
