Subj: Trust in Mike Parobeck to Lift the Gloom....

In amidst the stress of a working week and with much of modern DC comics' trend for deep angst and negativity one can always rely on terrific books from yesteryear to help lift the tension - such as Len Strazewski & Mike Parobeck's heartfelt ten-issue tribute to the Justice Society back in 1992...

In a scene radiating love, friendship, and decent human beings Al Pratt, Jay Garrick, Ted Grant, Alan Scott, Charles McNider & Jesse Chambers visit their recuperating friend Johnny Thunder in hospital. From Justice Society of America #5, 1992. Bless Mike Parobeck for his, still, wonderful and warm-hearted work in the medium... he was, in many ways, the original Darwyn Cooke.
