My first full look at the upcoming look for Jay Garrick on The Flash... and mighty impressive!

Kudos to the costume designers and producers for a faithful translation. \(yes\)

Would this be then earth interacting with the Earth 2, and to have a shot at meeting the JSA members then?

It certainly looks like it!

I am very excited for the new series of The Flash for this reason, Smallville did the Legion of Super-Heroes very well and to have such a faithful recreation of Jay Garrick for the small screen is quite a remarkable achievement for all conceerned in the production of the series. With Hawkman and Hawkgirl also appearing, Mr Terrific on the way, one can but only wonder if Stargirl, Jonny Thunder, Starman, and some of the All-Star Squadron are equal possibilities. The Earth-2 canon has such a huge depth of awaiting characters ready for such development.

For my money Starman could be the sure bet for his own spin-off series if done the James Robinson way... \(yes\)

And can that mean that the Spectre will eventually find his way over to this world?

Or at least the phantom Stranger, as both of them would have the power and the knowledge to make sure all things would get corrected?

IF that one villain coming over is bane, would their Joker be following, or any other Bat villain?..

Or Lex, or any of Supes rogues?

And looking forward to gen Eilling becoming the Shaggy Man!

You remind me that a couple or so years ago there were some rumours of a Spectre for television, likely it was just a proposition like the Blue Beetle test footage which Geoff Johns was somehow involved with, but while The Spectre is a possibility for television translation I think The Phantom Stranger would be far more compelling. A man of true mystery, but with more humanity than Jim Corrigan and therefore more flexible for storytelling and repeat appearances in The Flash or Green Arrow.
For me one way to go would be to go for a Starman television series, patterned after James Robinson's work but an open door to introduce Earth-2 characters. It would be possible to translate the likes of The Spectre and The Phantom Stranger here as Starman would have than bit of a fantastical edge inbuilt but also the grittiness of Robinson's grounded Jack Knight - it might be sort of Green Arrow meets The Flash, both rolled into one.

I can easily see characters like The Sandman, The Phantom Lady, and Firebrand being obvious try-outs within the format as well...

That Earth could well be earth 2 that Jay is from, and would be interesting to see other JSA heros coming thru the portal///

The Spectre was to have been into Constatine, but series cancelled before could show up...

The Spectre would be extremely powerfully, so should show up only if they plan to do a mini COIE on Flash/Arrow, but PS would be an intersting character to show up. as maybe foil to Zoom?

Just wonder why Jay was so young, would have liked him to be shown as grizzled WW II vet as in comics, and to be a mentor to barry!

That's my main concern, although by now a WWII vet would be far more than 'grizzled.' I'd have been happy if he were a Korean or Vietnam War-era character though.

he is connected to the Speed Force though, so even though he looks old, he would still be oretty much ypoung in body. correct?

Kind of like how Superman looks older and more grey, nut actuallt gets more powerful over time?
