the idea of changing the comics so they are closer to the movies seems to be one that is being thrown around a lot and something that seems to be coming. My question is how do you change the x-men? besides the obvious idea of getting rid of all of the tedious characters that have been added in recent years, do you make the team all teens like was originally or make much of the team teens like in the movie?
obviously there have been pretty blatant changes made to the MU over the years. I believe you guys call it retcon (what is it short for or stand for btw?). This would seem to be daunting though since there are some major differences in the relationships in the comic that were changed drastically in the film. I guess my point would be to look at Iceman and Angel. In the film one is a young student, while the other just came to the school but is not yet an x-man. Of course we know that they both were originals in the comics. Will they change that?
even though I am not a hardcore reader, I would say I somewhat know my x-history (to a point....about issue #320 so long ago) and when I saw the movies I liked them, but I also think the story was dumbed down to neatly fit. So in that regard that is why I think that making the books like the films would be a disaster.
hopefully I made sense, but I am not sure I did
