Subj: Ms. Marvel #11: Why did the chicken cross the superheroine?

Ms. Marvel 011
Just a really good issue! Kamala charm on overdrive. She not only takes care of a supervillain but she gives an inspiring pep talk to the rescued teens she teams up with - along with her engaging narration. And even got choked up for a moment by imagining Lockjaw's fervor in returning the favour by rescuing Ms.Marvel as he barrels into the giant robot. A necessary open ending this early in the budding heroine's career and a nice twist with a mystery implication that the (truly evil - though overstayed) chicken-guy most likely was just a puppet-pawn all along - and still the big bad (whose human-battery scheme was quite ingenious) got booked anyways thanks to MsM.
My only nit would be not getting a name badge, if not the name, of the police officer that personally thanked her and offered advice. He would be a welcome addition to the cast and contact, on the Force, for our crimefighter.
The inside art was a much more likable effort too. That splash page with her squashed in the cogwheels was a neat image/moment. That cover had me dubious but if that's a gyro she is eating then it's perfect! It IS a gyro, right? Don't recall ever having one - so not sure that it's messy like that. That's cover image is TOTALLY the unofficial last page of the story.
Very excited by next week's blurb/teaser with Loki and Valentine's Day!
I miss Dad and Dan.
