10 series I wish were collected in trade paperbacks: 1. New Warriors volume 1. I have the New Warriors omnibus that collected the first 26 issues or so. I want the whole 75 issues (and 4 annuals). 2. Thunderbolts. I think of the original run only issues 1-37 are collected. I want issues 1-75 collected! 3. Spider-Woman volume 1. The first volume was quirky. I would like to have all of it. Not interested in any later Spider-Woman stuff but I would like that original run collected. 4. Ghost Rider vol 2 (the Johnny Blaze stuff). Is Gary Friedrich lawsuit against Marvel the reason this stuff never gets collected? I'm assuming Marvel refuses to give him money. 5. Luke Cage, Hero For Hire/Powerman #1-49. Has this stuff ever been collected? 6. X-Men 2099. The only X-Men related series I ever really liked. 7. The Sub-Mariner (Namor's 60's series) 8. Namor the Sub-Mariner...(only the Byrne issues really...that book turned to poo once he left) 9. The Defenders volume 1 (particularly the Steve Gerber stuff) 10. Invaders volume 1 Anyone got some other series they want to see collected? ![]()

Quote: 1. New Warriors volume 1. I have the New Warriors omnibus that collected the first 26 issues or so. I want the whole 75 issues (and 4 annuals).Yeah, I had to buy the back issues as individual comics. Seemed weird to me. But I guess the first collected volume didn't sell well enough to justify further ones. Quote: 2. Thunderbolts. I think of the original run only issues 1-37 are collected. I want issues 1-75 collected!Again, I guess the first volume didn't sell well enough. Please buy 50,000 copies, Reverend. Quote: 3. Spider-Woman volume 1. The first volume was quirky. I would like to have all of it. Not interested in any later Spider-Woman stuff but I would like that original run collected.I'm with you. I only care about the early Carmine Infantino issues. Oh, I just googled and saw that Marv Wolfman was the early writer! No wonder these issues were so great. Carmine Infantino and Marv Wolfman! What a combination! Quote: 4. Ghost Rider vol 2 (the Johnny Blaze stuff). Is Gary Friedrich lawsuit against Marvel the reason this stuff never gets collected? I'm assuming Marvel refuses to give him money.Quote: 5. Luke Cage, Hero For Hire/Powerman #1-49. Has this stuff ever been collected?Astonishingly, there are two Masterworks volumes! And two Essentials volumes which actually take the story out to Power Man and Iron Fist #57! Deservedly so, of course. My favorite superhero from the 70s. Quote: 6. X-Men 2099. The only X-Men related series I ever really liked.Quote: 7. The Sub-Mariner (Namor's 60's series)Holy mackerel! (A particularly apt epithet in this instance.) There are eight Masterworks volumes of the Silver/Bronze Age series! Quote: 8. Namor the Sub-Mariner...(only the Byrne issues really...that book turned to poo once he left)No interest in anything Byrne. Can't stand the guy or anything he did except his X-Men art and his Alpha Flight. Quote: 9. The Defenders volume 1 (particularly the Steve Gerber stuff)Essentials exist. Quote: 10. Invaders volume 1Nothing exists. Not even an Essentials. I am telling you, there is anti-Roy Thomas malice at Marvel. How could they not collect at least a little of the Invaders? On principle, for its historic significance, there should at least be one Essentialss volume.

Speaking of Daimon this arrived in my mailbox just yesterday. https://www.amazon.com/Son-Satan-Classic-Gary-Friedrich/dp/1302901044/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1517326955&sr=8-1&keywords=son+of+satan It has the main appearances I wanted (Son of Satan + the Marvel Spotlight issues) plus a Marvel Two In One appearance, a Marvel Team Up appearance and a couple Ghost Rider issues. Though I think it could have done with a few more of the Ghost Rider appearances. Reverend Meteor (you know you're second stringer royalty when you've headlined in Marvel Spotlight, Marvel Team Up AND Marvel Two-In-One) ![]()

Quote: I guess I didn't research that one like I should have. ![]() With the sheer amount of different formats this stuff is reprinted in - Masterworks, Essentials, Omnibus(es), Classics, Epic etc - it's not surprising that the odd volume can slip through the cracks when you're searching for, or researching something. Personally, I wish they'd just scrap everything and start again in one standardised format.

I hope I can eventually get most everything Avengers, Thor, Iron Man and Cap prior to Heroes Reborn (which with the exception of Thunderbolts is when the Marvel Universe really died for me) ![]()

1. The entire Strange Tales Nick Fury : Agent of SHIELD series and the original SHIELD series. I know everyone loves the Steranko run but I would love to see the whole original SHIELD series collected in TPB. 2. The entire 1968-1974 Sub-Mariner series.
