Eventually they revealed Danny was Johnny Blaze's brother thus the son of Barton Blaze and Naomi Blaze (the retconned in daughter of Jennifer Kale's grandfather Joshua from Man Thing stories).

But issue 8 of Danny Ketch's Ghost Rider series implies Danny Ketch's father was a demon or evil or something. Barton Blaze was just a dead stuntman who was never important to the stories as far as I can tell. So who did Howard Mackie intend to be Danny's father?

I may be wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if Howard Mackie himself doesn't the answer. \:\-D

During the 1990s, he had the tendency to write multiple convoluted endless plots full of twists, like in a soap opera.

Thus, the readers were invited to buy the next book, hoping that they would get answers.

Unfortunately, he was doing that all the time and, just like in the Pretender TV series, you never knew what was the definitive truth about the characters' background.

Yes Mackie seemed to be all over the place with his writing.

There was a time when Nightmare advised GR and Ketch to seek the Soul Crystal for answers.....that is the crystal that Centurious uses. However they never got to do that.

Then came in Ivan Valez Jr whose writing really was bad and the series tanked and was ended.

Didn't Valez try to make Jennifer Kale a lesbian?

It seemed like Jarod and Miss Parker got a new long lost sibling every season.
