This is no surprise. As much as I was enjoying the latest return of the Rider, the story was moving a bit slow and the art at times.....

So we can chalk this latest series up to being about as big a failure as when the put Zarathos into a female host. She-Rider lasted 8 issues, her story was wrapped in Thunderbolts and then issue 9 was hasty wrap up of loose ends and putting the spirit back in Blaze.

Then came Robbie Reyes and his series which was also an ugly dud.

Then this latest series with Blaze as King of Hell and Danny Ketch being stripped of his Rider and becoming host to Spirit of Corruption.

Now this story will wrap in another series, I figure either Avengers or Dr Strange or both as some gimmick crossover event that will end of course with Mephisto as King of Hell again.

So in terms of there being a Ghost Rider.....perhaps Marvel should take a look at the family of the original Ghost Rider, the Slades.

Carter Slade, the original hero.

Lincoln Slade, the one who was unworthy and corrupted by the spirits.

Hamilton Slade, the next chosen one, reluctant to be a Rider, killed after purging Lincoln's ghost from his daughter.

Hamilton's daughter, she was still empowered to be a Rider even without Lincoln' ghost possessing her. She was subdued and imprisoned. She is corrupted by her hate and unfit to be a Rider. Either she goes on a redemption quest or else they reveal Hamilton had another kid who is the next one chosen to be the Rider.
