Entertaining series, a bit toned down in terms of violence but some good stories and it had Murphy at times interacting with his widow and son while keeping the fact that Robocop is Alex Murphy from them.

Good supporting cast, good portrayal of Robocop, same style of humor from the movies, albeit toned down a bit.

Robocop also had that Marvel cartoon in the 80's and would later have the cartoon Robocop Alpha Commando.

There was also the 4 part Robocop: Prime Directives miniseries. It ignored movies 2 and 3 and the TV series and cartoons and was 10 years after the first movie. Robocop is feeling his years both in terms of hardware and in weariness. Basically a midlife crisis. His old partner becomes a new Robocop and of course we get some super cyborg combat. The super villain's plot was your typical apocalypse plot but his weapon I thought was kind of dumb, a computer virus that destroys computers and organics.....yeah. But it ended well for Robocop as his "program" was upgraded to Alex Murphy 1.1, NO MORE Prime Directives and a part of his brain that was suppressed by his computer was restored and thus his full personality and memories came back so he was Alex Murphy once again.
