I used to read Comics Scene religiously. I liked it better than Wizard. And of course it pre-dated Wizard by nine years. (It began in 1982.)

Somehow reading Comics Scene just made me feel happy. \(cool\)

How about you?

I've attached the full cover our new banner was taken from. Does it bring back memories? I also attached two other covers. Remember this stuff?

Does anyone still have old issues of this magazine?

I RARELY saw this magazine. I bought Amazing Heroes a lot and Wizard, too, though. I actually seem to remember this cover, though. I think this is one of the few I purchased. My local shop had this mag very seldom. \:\(

I got it from the first issue. It was the first comic news magazine I ever bought, and I loved it. I still have my issues. They bring back a satisfying nostalgia whenever I pull them out, and remember what a huge part of my life comics were in my teen years.

Would you like to make a weekly thread where you in some manner reference each issue one at a time? Remember, all our weekly threads are as simplistic as the maker wants them to be. My horror films thread is about as basic as anything could get. Yours could be too. For example, you could simply scan the cover, scan the table of contents, scan the first page of some article you want to briefly highlight, and then say something personally meaningful about said article. Or you could do something totally different from that!

Hopefully this would be fun for you. If it wouldn't, then say no.

Just in case Shane doesn't have a scanner, it looks like there are pictures of a lot of the covers online already so you could download them and attach them or even just link to them and briefly discuss the content or whatever articles were the most interesting.

I appreciate the offer but I'll have to say no right now. \:\)
