Thanks for the request. Unforgettable riff and song. One of my favorite albums and songs. There's also a great SNL performance of this tune from 1985 and the guitarist does an amazing job with it live. After this album they went for a more straight ahead hard rock style that I don't think ever clicked as well. But Love, the album this is off is a killer combination of 80s post-punk and 60s and 70s psychedelic rock. It really made for a special sound IMO.

Always a good time with SRV.

One of her catchiest tunes. Still hard to believe she died so soon.

Another amazing musician gone too soon!

This version is just phenomenal. Both Beck and Stewart really work some magic here.

I'm not familiar with them, but I liked this song.

I've been meaning to request some SRV, so thanks for doing it for me. SRV is just so cool. I had a friend Tommy that called his greatest hits "The Ten Commandments"

Hey, I played the Jeck Beck Group on my 60s list this week. People are gonna think we plan these things or that we know what we're doing.

My 2-year-old Henry is so obsessed with Queen. All he ever wants to do is listen to Queen.

I like this song. Is that a guilty pleasure?

I always liked this song, but never ventured into the Cult's music. I remember it being all over the alternative rock station back in the 80's.

This is the first Stevie Ray song I remember, and it's a good one. I love the video, too. Pretty funny, with all the guitars and the Stooges-esque dummy bits.

I was never much into Whitney Houston, but I have heard this song quite a bit.

I don't remember this one at all. The song's ok but the video is awful. Videos were still a developing artform.

I liked this song. I remember thinking it strange that a guitarist would have an album with a bunch of different singers. "Ambitious" was a great song from Flash. Donny Osmond makes an appearance in it.

I completely forgot about this song. It's very good. I remember seeing the video many times back in MTV's earliest days.

This song used to get a lot of ribbing. I want to say it's better than I remembered. Parts of it are, but it's still pretty goofy.

When I think of the video era, this is one of the first songs I think of. I'd outgrown the hairbands around the late 80's, but I can still listen to Quiet Riot. Seeing the video again for the first time in ages, I still knew every bit.
I even looked up some other Quiet Riot videos and Slade videos afterward. Slade road QR's coat tails to their biggest hit with Run Runaway. Maybe we could see that next week. It's not a great song, but it is a feel good rocker.

EVERY song is SOMEBODY'S favorite! So, there's no such thing as a "guilty pleasure!" LOL \:\)

And I couldn't remember ever hearing that Cult song before. I also kept thinking "The Cure" when I was listening to it. ;\)

You NEVER outgrow songs from your youth. You can get temporarily tired of 'em, but you'll ALWAYS come back! ;\)

I'm not too familiar with the rest of Saga's output. I DID play their other Top 40 hit "Wind Him Up" on an earlier Music Fun.

If you know what their other hits were, request 'em and I'll play 'em! \:\)
