It was about this Asian kid, living in some American city and adopted by a cop, I think, and was a martial artist. I think there was one scene where he fought back against another kid who was giving him trouble, who was the son of his adopted father's (or a previous or following guardian) boss, and was said to have stitches in his head. Anyone know what show this was? There was also a scene where the cop kept his cuffs in the fridge, and the kid moved it from there, or something like that.

Starz cancelled the show, and Bruce Campbell has retired as Ash, so help us with our petition for a Season 4 comic!

Also, I've made a .doc file for a posted flyer for the page. Please also print and post these pages at your LCS.

I think you're thinking of Sidekicks with Gil Gerard. The part about the cuffs in the fridge rings a bell. It followed a tv movie The Last Electric Knight which was actually an episode of The Wonderful World of Disney.

Sounds like it may be pretty cool. I was thinking of "Karate Kid" which of course this wasn't. Did the kid have a martial arts teacher? Was he or she an important character in the show?

If the cop eventually has multiple young sidekicks, it would definitely make me think of the Golden Age Kirby character, the Guardian aka Golden Guardian, who in his secret identity was a cop in the neighborhood where the kids (the Newsboy Legion) lived. Which, by the way, would make a good TV show, especially for Disney.

What was the kid's character/actor name? Ernie Reyes Jr. aka Ernie Lee?

Thanks for the help. \:\)

You know, I remember the movie but I don't remember the show really. I don't know if they had multiple kids, I don't think that was the point. It was called Sidekicks because the kid did side kicks, maybe? I think there might have also been an argument that the kid was the hero and the adult cop was the sidekick.
