Does it seem werid that Spiderman's greatest foe is now the head man and holds all the cards and two of his worst foes Mysterio and Vulture have come back to life and serve a demominc master who we don't know maybe all this crap is connected to Mephisto . I also wonder is the love of marry Jane and peter all the demon got or could the vision of his daughter they would have had have something to do with it . I wonder if that daughter someday was going to stop the demon from doing something. I also wonder if the girl was going to become sorceress supreme since in the vision the girl was in a cloak. Sentry seems like a weak weapon since norman is a ssmart man and sentry is 50% effective given his mental state . half the time he runs away and is not used. And given how smart doom is wouldn't he by now have a counter measure agianst senty.

Mephisto seems to be the most likely and common guest. He really makes the most sense, and would explain why both Doom and Dormammu/Hood are cautious to oppose him.

There had to be a better reason why Mephisto wanted to offer Peter to save his Aunt's life and make his identity a secret again then just wanting his marriage.

Sometimes a person, no matter who he or she is, is in the right place and the right time and Mephesto probably wanted to remove Peter from that spot because he was probably in the way of his true goals

No there doesn't. Mephisto was a deux ex machina, nothing more than a plot point to get Spider-Man from married to unmarried. To modify a phrase from Marvel, It's magic, there doesn't have to be a reason.

Now, it's possible that we are going to see some "better reason", but I doubt it. Marvel is going to look forward and not mention it again.
