Subj: Venom #2...

Not great but not bad. Well, except for Lee he is a bad person. It's basically more of the same...

Venom #2 (2016)

More Gargan - who didn't die last ish in that suitcase deal gone bad. More Tombstone actively ordering a hit on Lee and more Black Cat, present, and being conned into bringing Lee onto her payroll.

The art feels a bit more contained which is more managable to process. The cover's a boring poser choice. And the implication that some of the visible squiggly conscience tendrils of Venom are only visible in Lee's mind's eye unnecessarily keeps the readers on their toes to make that distinction because it could have been presented or explained clearer.

The symbiotic connection is explored some more - but not near enough and their internal struggle is interrupted when the supervillain shows up. There's a new Firebug (unlikely franchise) in town to kill this book's lead. And after that, a new Deadshot-esque guy on the last page aiming for Venom - that maybe somebody here recognizes?
