Peter meets some new friends at school, one of who has managed to get his old Webwear tech working. Teresa Parker arrives in disguise and tells him about a stake-out they need to be on. They find The Chameleon with The Foreigner. They're discovered and Forigener sics Jack O Lantern robots on them, Teresa fights back more aggressively than Peter, as The Chameleon had killed a former lover of hers. Peter engages in fisticuffs with The Foreigner and gets the better of him, but is taken out by Silver Sable. Meanwhile, Miguel O'Hara wakes up to find he's being tested on in a lab, he breaks free and escapes the buildings only to find his powers aren't working. He ends up taking a hard landing on a taxi cab...oh, and apparently Doctor Doom 2099 has brought about the end of everything in Miguel's time

My thoughts

Spencer begining to build up the world of Peter's class is welcome, even if it reintroduces us to a macguffin from Slott's wretched run. We get some much needed conflict from Teresa via Peter's observations and we're left to question how much she'll pull back when she has her opportunity for revenge. Miguel is back in his traditional outfit, let's hope we're just quietly ignoring all that 3000 garbage they tried to force on him during the previous era, looks like they are. 2099 has to be the longest year on record, whatever will it look like when we actually get there? Not something a lot of us will get to find out...except maybe the band Busted...

Pat Gleason's art is top form, he was a big part of why I picked up Superman back in the Rebirth phase, and he delivers here too.
