To be honest, I thought it was rather good. It's still a very dark picture of the Titans with excessive violence, but I'm really getting into the characters.

Shame about Dove... especially so soon.

One of the later episodes is titled Hank and Dawn, but I'm not getting my hopes up that it ISN'T a flashback story. They tricked the viewers, Hank was just getting it worse and worse, then out of nowhere the Nuclear Family or whatever the heck they are showed up. I don't know why Raven's dark self didn't fight back, there. Plot driven I guess.

Then again, Minka Kelly is listed as being in 11 episodes, same as Alan Ritchson (Hank). Also, the actress playing Grayson's unlucky partner is listed as being in all 12. So unless there's a LOT of flashbacks, maybe we'll eventually see the REAL Hawk and Dove, and not just a pair of costumed fighters. Neither of them hold a candle to Grayson, but if they get the real powers of the pair that'd be a bonus. Maybe they'll use that serum that the killer family is using.

The violence doesn't really bother me at all. Sometimes the comics play DOWN the violence, it's really not too easy to beat 5 opponents without doing some harm. Yeah, Dick is a little over enthusiastic, but at the same time that's how you get the job done.

I'll keep watching (I have no life) but something about this show seems coarse and juvenile. A lot of hero shows have some level of violence but Daredevil's not going to poke a guy's eye out and stab another guy in the nuts like Dick did here.

I'm shockingly indifferent to people getting killed on television...but no more stabbing people in the nuts! I don't need to see that.

The only character I like so far is Hawk and I'm not sure he's a main character.

I thought she had some sort of healing power. I must be thinking of Starhawk. Or the White Lanterns or something.

This Hawk and Dove seem a lot more mundane than the comics versions. I'm not sure they have any powers at all.

In the comics, her Dove persona is even like a different body than her normal Dawn Granger body.

Having seen the scene, I kinda like the way Dick handled the sitch. I like it when turnabout's a bitch for villains. But this um... definitely is not the Titans I grew up on, and I don't like that.

I feel like they're probably reliable a week or so after something airs. But I don't trust anything on there about a future episode. I remember several years ago someone kept listing an episode on the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia page called "Dennis Gets A Dog"...there was no such episode.

To me if Robin acts this way it kind of makes Bruce look like a bad parent.

Does Bruce beat the shit out of criminals? Yes. But I like to think he hands out well deserved ass whuppings and that he doesn't try to gouge peoples eyes out or stab them in the dick. He's fair. He gives them the beating they deserve and sends them to jail...he doesn't enjoy maiming people IMO.

I'd read that in this story Bruce has started 'going all the way' which is why Grayson left. More Batfleck than comic Batman. But it could also be a red herring.

Per the linked interview, maybe Hank will indeed do something to bring Dawn back..
