Subject: Season 8 Fimal has now come and gone, any reamrks now? Posted Mon Apr 16, 2018 at 10:13:24 am EDT (Viewed 1226 times) |

Liked that Elvis finally revealed that his heart was still with Rick's team, as his group made defective bullets. Ningham has Rick fed falsi info, and led into a trap, but ewhen his group started to fire upon Rick, their guns blew apart!
Rick really listened to Karl letter to him, and in the end, confronted Nignham, and ended up slicing his throat, but he lived on, and will get jailed for rest of his lifetime.
The one with the staff keeps seeing Ghosts though, and ened up wondering off, to join cast of the Fear the Walking Dead now.
Maggie really upset that Rick allowed N man to live, looks like is scheming to replace Rick as their leader when time is right, along with Daryl.
Spock lady asked to join the team, as were all of the followers of Ningham, as Rick trying to force a new world order.
The one who betrayed Nignham, one with the scarred and burnt face got to live, but toild never to come back, and he found a note from his wife, and was implied that he will be going off after her now.
My real complaint was jst seemed rushed and hurries, as the war was building for 2 seasons, and nds really quick!

Loved the scene, just before the opening creds, starting with Rick and Morgan's chat, where Rick is adamant that they have not lost everything. Then as they march off to battle, Rick and Michonne are hand-in-hand.

Kinda knew that was coming. Lucky for Rick and crew, else everybody would be dead. Sort of a miracle that all the guns blew and that nobody tested the weapons beforehand. But Rick has Jesus on his side.

I really wonder, though, when Rick finally listened. I think even up till the end he was debating it.

The more I think about it, the angrier I get.

Odd that Jesus is in that meeting, too.

Kumbaya. Yay! :\

Dwight. Yeah. Maybe the infinity implies happily ever after, at least in Sherry's dreams? I hope we see them back, and if Darryl has anything to say about it, screw him. At this point, I'd rather have Dwight around.

Well, they only have 16 episodes, and it was past time for "All Out War" to end, imo. The series is moving way too slowly. I wonder if we'll get a time jump for next season.
I liked the line of pikes in this episode, denoting to those that know that the Whisperers are not far off. WEHT Heath?

I would really think would be intersting to have their Jesus be shown as being the real one, and He was there to play observer, ans that he finishes the series by making it like nothing ever really happened, as Rick dreamed it all up while still in His coma!

With the exception of Maggie's justifiable heel turn I thought the episode sucked. The follow up episode with the Fear the Walking Dead was crappy but it still was the best Fear the Walking Dead episode ever because the main cast was barely in it.

So Negan didn't check the bullets? What if the rounds just didn't work through Eugene's incompetence?
In order to ensure your rifle is fitted for you, you have to 'zero' it in, firing shots. Yes, ammunition is scarce, but some zeroing would have been done.
Even if he created some good rounds to confuse Negan, then this would have just been swapped around when they filling the magazines.
Just ridiculous.

It just went on too long but having read the comic book we are lucky it didn't last another full year. The FTWD episode was mind numbing bad. It is hard to believe the show runners read the script and thought it was the way to revive interest! The idea of Morgan and the new characters was fine but look at what they were given for material. The opening with Morgan and his decision to leave was well handled. After his journey reaches the cowboy it plunges into ludicrous territory. Morgan gets captured, John the cowboy shows up to rescue him and is then also captured. Then Althea shows up to save them both and they drive down the road a while and decide to stop for the guys to give video interviews as repayment for the rescue. So of course are captured by the gang they just escaped in the last scene. The bad guys apparently not taking a documentary pause. Pattern firmly established it should be no surprise they escape only to be trapped by some of last years surviving cast in the most obvious trick imaginable. Morgan and company did not even bother to leave one person in the giant mobile, highly armed truck as cover. Maybe the worst season opener of both shows combined and that includes TWD season four.

That doesn't seem like it's in the Walking Dead's wheelhouse. It would be like adding space aliens to Golden Girls or wizards to NCIS.
That said I didn't object when they brought God into the Battlestar Galactica remake's finale because I always felt they were hinting at God all along with Baltar's visions of Caprica Six. But there's no hint of God being involved in the Walking Dead IMO.

I was just saying that it would be an interesting way to end the show, much better than the current speculation that it will end with Rick back in his coma, and all of the show was just either a mere dream, or just now starting foir real!
