Subj: Wonder Woman #762: Share your truth about it.

Wonder Woman 762

Pretty much a standard mass mind-controlled mob story. Not bad but blasé. The cover is properly symbolic as it does show the principal in-story players, along with a cute blurb to make the false scene more acceptable. The opening 3 pages of a generic Themyscira flashback charge felt page-wasteful; although the narrative examination of 'deception' in Amazon culture was neatly presented. Inside there is pedestrian action but unfortunately it's more of the same from last issue. It's just 2or3 run of the mill isolated incidents of citizen chaos that Diana deals with during this mass hysteria. Etta gets some lines dedicated to explaining to readers why this Max Lord team up must go on - but we still don't get fair reason why other agency/meta help has not pitched in for this crisis that just starts to drag without more exposition of any kind. In the end, we do get a fun twist to the storyline and learn the new supervillainess codename Liar Liar along with the -somewhat underwhelming and nepitistic- coincidental reveal who the evil errant Emma's mystery dad from last issue is.

Is there any truth to this?
