I know she has returned on Utopia (without any explanation as to where she's been but, oh well, that's par for the course these days) but, haven't read any of her appearances.

Has it been mentioned at all that she is an alien? It's odd that HAMMER came after Hepzibah but, not Ariel.

I wonder if the writers forgot and/or don't know that she is an alien?

Her alien status is questionable. She's not a native of Coconut Grove. She claimed to be a descendant of Shakespeare's Ariel (of Earth). The people (scientists) of Coconut Grove were just very interested in Earth's mutants, because they had stopped evolving.

HAMMER doesn't have jurisdiction on Utopia. Only way they got Hepzibah is because she was stupidly being a lush in San Fran.

I thought the whole point of Ariel being a mutant was that she was the Coconut Grove's FIRST mutant, and that was what stopped them from taking apart the rest of the Fallen Angels to see how they ticked?

Hepzibah was rounded up with the rest of the aliens and set for deportation in SWORD #1.

I guess the original Ariel was from Coconut Grove, too. That works.

However, the only thing that stopped them from taking apart the rest of Fallen Angels was Devil Dinosaur threatening to eat them. They already knew about Ariel's mutation before they sent her to kidnap Earth mutants.

DEVIL DINOSAUR? DEVIL DINOSAUR?!

In an X-men comic?! That's... Bloody brilliant! I love it! \:D
