Wolverine and the X-Men #16
Mr. and Mrs. Kilgore MUST have had Kade while out of wedlock 'cuz clearly their child is a bast... well, you know - if your read...
Wolverine and the X-Men 16
Was never a fan of Kade since intro of him and his Hellfire Kids Club. Their extremely successful staying power is just so hard to appreciate even if it is a comicbook world. So a WHOLE ISSUE DEDICATED to him should really be a turn off. Especially considering there was not even a cameo of Wolverine or his X-Men. Plus, breaking the 4th wall was a new low for him. And, the proliferous and recyclable existence of Sentinels is kinda hard to believe in this Phoenix Five razing, post-Schism, global MU setting. His taking over the Letters Page was overkill [despite the suggested team-up with Doop being intriguing].
Hoooweverrr, the whole (life)story was actually... okay. The depths of his depravity were quite... deep. DC's Joker might be even impressed. His overdue capture and punishment was... gratifying [despite Ryker's incarcerating a tween in a comicbook world]. Some fun lines, traumatic drama, COOL LUNCHBOX and fine artwork [despite the wacky coloring randomness]. Still hate the guy but on the plus side there are now concrete reasons, beyond the abstract, presented in this entertaining narrative that gave him dimension [despite his peers still being schmucks].
Did you not hate the issue, the kid, or neither?
