Oh snap! He blamming did it!

That climax of the 2nd last panel was as important/evocative as the finality of the last one. Y'know he had to do it... given the tone and direction of the premiere but still... there was that glimmer of hope... but sadly no, he IS flat out evil - and none of the decades of X-men goodness have changed him afterall.

The renewed bad guy characterization was more acceptable and enjoyable over the premiere. Agent Haines' fear feels spot on particularly after Max's narrative thoughts, his displays of power, and his convincing and traumatic flashback with that nasty Nazi tragedy. It all helped define this present impressive-instead-of-impotent take on the Master of Fritzing Magnetism! Agent Haines is right to be that scared.

All the story and art elements were presented great. Including: Worst*. Facepalm. Ever. (*Worst = incredibly gross and perfectly effective supervillain feat!) If they were going for a way to move him quickly ahead of Scott on the Most Wanted list this helped to... err... nail it!
