Extraordinary X-Men 009

A little bit of The Starlost with the sci-fi ark ship of biospheres.

A little bit of Secret Wars Battleworld with variations of endless skewed MU settings.

A little bit of time travel travails 'cuz the X-Universe clearly does not have enough of that hogwash.

A little bit of Colossus in the prologue failing (or maybe succeeding) in protecting the lost X-kids - who can say (the story didn't).

A little bit of humor - very little; but genuinely loved Anole's sarcasm about Jean's diary and Herman's "It's Globberin' Time!"

A little bit of permanent temporal aging will probably happen for this four just like the other Four aged almost a year not once by twice thanks to Byrne [FF251-255] and Fraction.

A little bit of Kitty casually crossing the Danger Room through inconsequential obstacles [Xmen139] just as these x-kids go from one end of the worldship to the other.

A little bit of a mix of Yoda and Gollum with a dash of Fin Fang Foom all rolled up into (throwaway) Moogum.

A little bit of dumping some more bad fruitions on Tony Stark's futurist realities.

A little bit of confusion (or maybe sloppiness) at the epilogue - let me get this right? Codenameless(bah) Young Jean Grey arrived with the X-Rescuers, located the X-kids before or after locating the Four Horsemen(none the worse for wear from an absent Piotr), then spent an unclear amount of real time replaying(for her whole team) the last year as it unfolding in this future - all between pages?! And then the X-Rescuers and X-Kids proceedwith a faceoff clash against the Four Horsemen, only to be interrupted by the sudden appearance of Apocalypse - all in only 2 pages?!

Not enough to keep me entertained.

A little bit misleading with the cover - it should have had the four X-Kids featured.
