Seems they have to fix time. But imposters took their place. I'm expecting partial retcons and alterations at the end.
Plus the 05 are sticking around.

X-Men: Blue 019
· Great cover.
· So. It was a far-fetched fan fake out. They told us the really went to their true past timeline and saw and believed they saw their past selves there - without checking them or anything out. They told us that they knew this was incontrivertilbe evidence so readers could share their knowledge that they were from an alternate reality. That gave the continued existence and concept of the O5 in trapped in the present was given arguably more worth and meaning after IRL years(?) of their temporal squatting. HA! Turns out in classic comic book twist fashion the joke is on them - and the readers. They saw Fake5 dopplegangers. Real funny... NOT. And by the internal logic of the O5 factor... this will prove to be a joke too. The BotA Gang can NOT be really affecting the real past here if they really killed Wanda and Pietro. Therefore any attempted story drama surrounding death and danger is highly suspect. How threatening can the BotA Gang be if they kill one of their own granparent progenitors?
· So. Hank McMagic can now pull off classic saves from nuclear explosion. This showing would make Sue Storm proud. How many FF issues later was she skilled enough to pull of similar? And this was impulsive knee-jerk, imagine how resourceful he'll be once he masters abeastra cadumbra spell casting?
· So. We get a pretty double splash screensaver collage of X-canon we know. Curious randomness. Even Quentin as Phoenix gets a nod. Hey, did Bobby ever wear a carrot nose in back issues or was that from a Marvel House Ad by Byrne?
· The return of THOUGHT BUBBLES! So. Kudos for that. Granted they only are used twice - and to repeat the same sight gag.
· So. The 7 debate with Mags, in Null Space, was decent enough even though it all proves moot once they discover the truth over the last 5 pages of teleporting into the Mansion "action". They even manage to deliver a gigantahumongous dramaticolossal battle between O5 and the Fake5 BotA Gang that essentially is given a whopping 1 panel. *koff* BTW, what unfootnoted Mags/Cyke past encounter was he talking about.
· So. What BotA Event danglers should readers be thinking about at this point? Also, never got a chance to reply to Rodimus' XmB#17 post which was also the source of my attached new banner submission for consideration.

You had me at thought bubbles.
Blue and Gold I collect in Trade, so I'm still waiting on the Mojoverse tie ins book to come out. I try to stay away from spoilers but sometimes you have to ppek, so I'm pretty interested in seeing how Hank sticks to Magic after seeing how he was being manipulated by Pryor.

I do not understand a word of that. I don't even know what BotA means. Yeesh.
What/who are the O5 as far as we now know?

Beast doing magic makes no sense to me at all. I just don't get it. It reeks of Bendis but I'm not sure he had anything to do with it. I just know he likes to do things that could never in a million years be predicted because they come from so far out in left field they came from the parking lot outside the stadium.

"BotA" refers to the X-Book event of 2013, Battle of the Atom.

As far as we know the O5 are the actual 616 O5 of the past.

Generally, I don't like it when scientists use magic... even when Doom does.

So once again we have a scenario where they can't die. But also their experiences in the present will logically HAVE to alter their decisions in the past. They're learning too much about too many things. Unless they get mind-wiped. So surly they will. Which will make this, once again, as is always the case in 21st century Marvel, a "What If" story. But Warren has new wings. So that's another detail that will have to be reversed.

Ohhhh - Doom does. That's where this is going. O5 Hank will be treading a Dark Beast path.

Confounding plot, isn't it.
Sorry about my unclear post, too. For anyone who hasn't got the ish yet, bleedingcool has posted the spoiler cliffhanger page (below) with the Battle of the Atom(BotA) gang better known as the Future Brotherhood(whose team name escaped me at the time of the post).

Ugh. 2 horrible role models for a horrible version.

Is both time waves slowly effecting thing and people who are divorced from said events changing.
Most time travel fiction is full of errors and breaking their own rules. Back to the future foes this. So you're going to have to suspend your disbelief.
Anyway writer hinted not everything goes back to normal.

None of the 05 staying isn't he past. They're on the solicitors for the next books. They're gonna have to either clone themselves or use beasts magic or brainwash the brotherhood into being what the 05 should be on the past.
Probably makes cyclops we read the whole time never the cyclops.

Oh! Now that's interesting! A super-elaborate retcon! Possibly the most elaborate ever done.
