X-Force 004 (2019)
Did not care for:
-the messy art
-Deathlok 'unit' still not properly identified on the Roll Call Page - not to mention storyline.
-the ridiculous Tachyon Probability Generator element of the story - not to mention Deathlok having one.
-confusing connection between Rachel and Kid Cable
-Dom and Star still seem they've taken inorganic development/direction from their ended series
-the Transia Mutant Status is definably resolved, since this is toted as the last ish of the arc, but the overall scope/presentation and numbers/variety of the changes to the country was still definitely wanting
-ugh! ugh! ugh! Stryfe is back
-the mystery tease of the cover and the twist who 'got it'
-Bloodstorm and Mimic not forgotten
-Rachel also not forgotten revealed as surprise story catalyst
-Ahab is dead (at least this version for hopefully the forseeable future)
-overall a choppy presentation but satisfying turning of the tide and as deplorable as the unkillable return of Stryfe is, his (apparently) Handbook Character kill and (return of?) his last page evil team has certainly got my attention
Some early comicbookroundup reviewers were more impressed by more:

With this issue ends the first story arc of this series and for me this issue is good, but it could have been better. The action is fantastic and the chemistry between these characters improves more and more. Once again, we have an excellent character connection, this time between Cable and Domino. I like what Brisson is building around the Cable - Rachel relationship and how everything comes together from "Extermination". I think Ahab's death could have more impact. The artwork and colors are ok. The appearance of Stryfe was already expected and makes you want to know what will come next. Solid conclusion. Overall an enjoyed issue.

The issue is the end of the first arc but what it sets up will reverberate for some time. The end will get folks talking and has me so excited to see what comes next and what the team have up their sleeve. X-Force has always been about over the top action and this series delivers that and then some. Read Full Review

This character deserved more, and despite a compelling final page the issue overall can be described the same way. Read Full Review
