Reply Subj: Anyone else think New Avengers #30 is foreshadowing Uncanny Avengers?

> NEW AVENGERS #30
Props to the art of course!

> - Cage and Daredevil’s conversation. First off can’t help but note that pre-Mday a child of 2 superhumans had very good odds of being a mutant.
It might have added some meaning to his Nuff Said decision making montage to READ some of that couldve-been-mutant status for Dani (instead of reason to put Fist on the cover). Has mutant testing ever been done in a backissues?

> Second, having it in front of Emma, who from her history as a teacher of mutant children could probably write a book on how broken homes affect children (if she didn’t act like she kept her heart in diamond form all the time)
It was so sad to see Emma sympatico with her PFEmma 'persona' http://www.comicboards.com/php/show.php?rpy=xmb-2012091302194453. It was just another nail in Scott's coffin if he admits to working with the PF instead of subconsciously against it. It's not gonna hurt Namor either way. Piotr should be more withdrawn and silent with guilt - unless Cytorrak plays mind games still. And who cares about Yana. As for Emma, this very low key prisoner transfer in a truck (INSTEAD OF QUINJET!) is VERY curious/questionable but guess we'll have to wait to see what happens. A footnote whether this happens after #11 or #12 would have been better.

> - The Thing being asleep when the attack happened. Seriously, his “nephew” is a mutant, but that reality hasn’t once been acknowledged during AvX. Now I don’t read FF but save for when Franklin appears in an x-comic panel, not even sure if the Marvel writers have ever dealt with how mutant hatred impacts the Richards family. Honestly not even sure if the Marvel general public would have a clue that Franklin has ever had powers or that those powers weren’t a result of one of his dad’s inventions turning him superhuman.
Just one of the missteps of planning this Event.

> - “yeah well, we ain’t mutants” speaks for itself
Yeah, WTH was that?!
Sidebar: Wonder if Cage is the one with the "YEAH, I CAUGHT THAT" comeback on page one making DD selfconscious.
Otherwise all the dialgoue was okay though except for the Purifiers who did drone on and on.

> - Iron Man not knowing the Purifiers had advanced tech. Which is something every mutant child knows after the group blew up a bus full of students and tried to massacre them all at their school. And the group was part of a coalition that created a forcefield around San Francisco that not even Thor could break through.
A few more quantitative info with Mockingbird and her new powers was warranted (by now) against them. Her calling SHIELD was a little curious. Guess they just phased out Cap's unknown agency. Ignored her WCA roots. Forgo calling her title bearing NA peers for the Q(rating)-team of Iron Man and Thor.
