Uncanny Avengers 005

Bah! This was bad on so many levels.

The art was far too messy. The story was totally unsatisfying (w/each plotline facet). The belated chronology placement (ie. delayed publishing post-SW): unacceptable. The heroes' characterizations: poor. Fight/rescue choreography was unenjoyable. The disfigured Wyndham face felt like blatant gimmickry (totally copycat-insulting to Doom trying to shock readers the same last week). Variant cover: missed opp for more likely unlikely silliness. Revelations (withheld) of the Twins true origin: cheap cheating chicanery!

Deciding whether to even bother with annotated PBP since none of this matters anymore, what?, with the MU destroyed already....

I miss Dad and Dan.

The only thing I liked about this was Vizh's sweetness with Wanda. However, Wanda's still treated far too frailly. Just more sexist crap where she's concerned.
