Apparently, Disney weren't happy with its $1.4 billion haul. That's a lot of money, but not enough, and not what many expected after the success of the first instalment and the Phase 2 releases which preceded it. The site adds that, "as a result, at Disney, it has been dubbed a failure. Which enabled Kevin Feige to use it leverage to push out Isaac Perlmutter."

A few years ago after Eddie Murphy did Coming to America. The writer Buck Henry sued for stealing his idea (he wrote a story similar to the film) and won a suit against Murphy and the film company. Even though the film made a huge profit and was a success, they managed to get out of the law suit decision by having the gall to say that the film did not make a profit. Thus not pay Buck Henry. The studio got away buy saying stock holders need to get paid, and talent ha back end deals. All Fuzzy Chinese math. So it quite possible this was done on purpose to do god knows what. Fire this guy, didn't meet Wall Street expectations, keep Disney stock down for a buy back, who knows.
