Illuminati #2

• The Hood explains part of his master plan and it involves going deep into the Marvel underground!
• Can the All New All Different Illuminati get along long enough to survive their first mission?
• The dark look at the lives of the Marvel villains continues!

Sooo much better than the premiere. Good for them. In fact they should've combined both into a double-sized one-shot to prevent anyone dropping it last month. Surprisingly better than Squadron Supreme premiere that it came out with too. The Avengers fanchise cover stamp makes a bit more sense this time, although a reference other than the oddball-arbitrary Hawkeye joke would have been appreciated. We have supervillain members all of whom have fought the A team - and each have curious ANAD personal agendas. We have a de-facto arch-enemy of the A team in charge - and he is presented spot on selfish. We have satisfying update on a lost ex-member of the A team - and O'Grady is lost in more ways than one.

The Punisher and Elektra are an anti-heroes, trying to do the right thing using unjustified bad guy means. The Squadron are effectively bad guys who think they're justified and doing right things which makes them delusional-heroes. The ANAD Illuminati are "just" bad guys doing bad things. Heck, in that context - if it's reveales Robbins was stealing the name Illuminati then that (besmirching) would give the team name more credibility. They're the Masters of Evil with better branding. Heck, the clever "BAD GUYS WIN EVERYDAY... WHY NOT US?" sales pitch should be watermarked under their cover title.

The book still needs much more work done with it to deserve as high a grade this other reviewer gives:

What did YOU think of:

Hood?
His HQ?
Enchantress?
Ant?
T-Ball?
Titania?
Thinker?
His android?
Club Fenris?
Gutless Karver?
PP Pete?
Poorly drawn "probable Bagalia outcasts" that will bring the pain next issue (Jack O-Lantern?? Tiger Shark?? Tombstone?? Shrike?? Anyone else you recognize??)??

I miss Dad and Dan.

Sorry to say that but this book has no sense and it is totally dispensable, have you read Mighty Thor 2? the Enchantress is also there what makes her appearance on Illuminati the same week as something weird because she can´t be on two places at the same time and in two different situations.

Two things ... or that it is a big mistake from the Editor that it would have had more control of what is done saying to one of the two writers (Aaron on Thor, Williamson on Illuminati) if the character is available or they should make something to fix it because this make things a total mess to do a chronology of the events.

There are two Enchantresses (Amora and Sylvie Lushton) on the Marvel Universe and there is also Lorelei that actually she´s a thief if you have read Loki: Agent of Asgard.
