New Avengers 004

The preview was more entertaining than the rest of the issue. Not that the rest was bad per se - just that it was all about the intergalactic and political set up with the Knights of the Infinite. They're trying to unify the Kree and Skrull races and have made Hulking(Dorrek VIII) their King. Modridun was potentially interesting but he did not elaborate on his Universe 6/Cosmos 5 status and too quickly feigned his own destruction as he lies in wait for the Editorial Secret Wars gag order to lift. Besides the big battle was poorly played out and the NA were SO out of place.

BTW, if Hulkling is Dorrek VIII then his first appearance would increa$e in value. Wiki and Wikia list his first appearance as Young Avengers #1. But http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix5/annelleskrull.htm lists Anelle as his mother. Wasn't Anelle the mother of the 'first pacifist skrull' introduced in that big Avengers/FF crossover issue written by Byrne ages ago?

Also, when they say SEVEN are living in the Space Castle, here, they obviously cannot mean Hulkling so are we presuming that that there are retainers live here too or that these were the only members before recruiting Hulkling:
Knights of the Infinite
â–  M'ryn the Magus (Only appearance; dies #3)
â–  K'kyy (First appearance #3)
â–  Lan-Zarr (First appearance #3)
â–  Mur-G'nn (First appearance #3)
Or that there has to be 3 yet to be seen members?

Finally, what is your opinion of Tippy-Toe in full spacesuit attire?

Clint with orange hair looks awful. Next issue cover looks awesome.

I miss Dad and Dan.

So far I'm not that impressed with the book. The whole having a "spy" ,Hawkeye being the spy, giving them the ok. I don't like the art. Tippy Toe in a suit going into battle? That is just stupid. If Sunspot wanted the younger Hawkeye, why not just invite her?

I hope that eventually the whole who is an actual and official Avenger is clarified soon. People going around to say who has a right and doesn't is foolish.

Of the books under the Avengers umbrella, this is the least favorite book being published.

I buy it because its carrying the New Avengers, a book I started buying since 2004. Even though the previous volume which wasn't really an Avengers team and the excuse it was a new situation the Avengers found themselves involved. It should have been Ironman using his status as Founder using his rights to assemble his own team and that team being who were in the New Avengers. Steve uses his Founders status to induct members and form his own team.
