I don't remember ultimate-Hulk ever being shown as anywhere near as strong as the 616 counterpart. The power levels in the Ult-verse were dialed down quite a bit.
Now I only skimmed most of the later Ult-verse garbage, wouldn't surprise me if there was massive power inflation along the way.

-Non restored multiverse and celestials being destroyed wasn't. And secret wars folded in characters where they can't screw up canon much.
-Nip, tuck and tweak as Axel said.
-Tony restored the other eternity's and super-flow but not the multiverse as seperate. Inbetweener is still gone and shapers still a ghost and Galan is still the light bringer.
-Compromise of old and new status qou.

"As above, so below" is one of the themes of the book. The events that happen on the prime earth define the entire multiverse (and vice versa) because that's where TOAA focuses its writing most of the time. Also, gods are a reflection of the ideas and dreams of humans, as seen in Agent of Asgard and if you want to go further back, in Gaiman's Sandman.

if this were an event it would have to be dumbed down for the masses. It's probably better it wasn't. But, it should have carried on for another dozen issues before this ended. So much was left untouched.

-They need a non-altered Hank because the current one is Ultron, so once I again I would chalk it up to editorial mandate.
-Maker killing Ultimate Cap doesn't feel like a random event BTW - it only feels like editorial wanted Ewing to kill him to not confuse the readers after Secret Empire with yet another different Captain America

Anonymous 08/16/17(Wed)11:20:57 No.94690265
I was expecting them to use the last celestial's dna to turn eternity back into a multiverse, the way how they used the dark ones to revert it back into a single universe. This is pretty cool as well.

The Celestials and the Infinity Watch were in this place - the same place where the One Above All is.

Makerfags really show their age sometimes.
I mean. Sure in 1610 the maker is the most dangerous guy ever but in 616 the tech level is 10x more advance and the heroes fight megalomaniac geniuses like the maker every effin Thursday.
He might be special in his own reality but he is just another egocentric supervillain in theirs.

You cheeky writer.

Some bullets they never considered...

•So, what should have been as... chaotic/crazy/convoluted as a pseudo Incursion, when The Maker combined and/or pseudo-merged all the multiverse of Earths (and presumably their galactic tapestries) into our one reality, culminated into a... big fat nothing? HMMPH.

•Eternity Watch were forced 'outside of all reality' when the superflow was destroyed, last ish, 'cuz all the universes came together into one universe and then they could get back into our universe because Black Celestials blocked the way. Hmm... wonder if it has to be No-Prized that they were also spared any involuntarily pseudo-merge with an alt-version of themselves which helped them maintain their cosmic awareness of the crisis?

•Didn't the combine mystics of Earth banish a Dark Celestial. Guess he could've come back. Y'think the Eternity Watch could at least handle that one. ;\)

•Uhhh, is that a personal misconception that BigG thinks Maker and HighE are trying to SAVE Earth Prime? And summoning his heralds, the Ultimates, is fine but why not call upon any of your Real Heralds?

•WOW. Counter Earth CONTINUES to need better backstory/recap update of how it's even back. It CONTINUES to be a new pet peeve! Hmm, did the number of 'earths' just double in the whole one-universe now too?

•America Chavez is too cool to have a codename on the Roll Call page? Y'know what's cool? Decorative symmetry. ;\) They should list her as Ms. America!

•It's a shame that none of the Watchers came to this show. Not even The Unseen. Sad.

•Carol backstabs "Cap". Typical. "Cap" ends up unphased by all those CM blasts. Trope.

•The Maker's skill level showing (with undertermined assistance by Wyndam) gets even MORE IMPRESSIVE than just merging all the multiverse into one-verse! He also brought people back from a reportedly non-existant 1610 reality! Actually after the post-SW beginning of "Universe 8", does that PROVE that 1610 existed up until the untold rewritten version of Incursion and Secret Wars - at which point the FF and Owen presumably went about "restoring" timelines (which makes no sense) but did not include 1610? But back to the feat - The Maker ALSO brought people back FROM THE DEAD. Wow.

•Blue Marvel gives a lesson on Fascism. Missed opp to mention S.E. or HYDRA. At least he did something besides one-punch Hulk.

•1610-Shellhead was fun to read. He can be given key credit for freeing Eternity and saving the day. BTW, he WAS already a member of the Ultimates - that was just a misplaced joke, right?

•Black Panther scores a... controversially debated big win as the sole human battling the metaphors of the Etternity War. He was the other key to saving the day courtesy his Tiger God power-up.

•It is clear the conclusion and realities reset is rushed and infantized because it screamed highly dubious that MAC should serve as the "MULTIVERSAL EXPERT to know where EVERYTHING" fits. C'mon! "EVERYTHING"?!

•Spectrum is a LIVING NEURAL ELECTRICITY that links the minds here. So, the Avengers had there very own version of a telepath afterall but previous writers just didn't think of it, eh. It could be argued being on this team has bumped up from her previous incredibly high Omega Level of power/skills.

•And the war is over almost as quickly as it started. Eternity Watch, at best, only ran interference as alt-Tony and T'Challa free Eternity from the First Firmament and destroy the merged existence of Logos. The Cosmic Reset will take a long time to accurately dissect and this includes Never Queen entering the mix by (re)creating a Fifth Host of mysterious Celestials and Eternity introducing readers to the personification of all the 8 multiverses (minus the 4th): "Ultimate Ultimates".

•So, will these Maker-hunting Alt-Ultimates just be forgotten like that other outer space missions crew, those forgotten Copies of New Mutants, off adventuring from decades ago?

•Don't get me started on the RIDICULOUS RIDICULOUS RIDICULOUS impenetrability of HYDRA's Planetary Shield around the Earth. The fact alone that The Ultimates bypassed it...
