Ok this issue advances that old Fraternity of Raptors subplot from War of Kings that was dropped for years (which drove me crazy) until just recently. Chris has become a cop like his crooked father and is engaged to be married to a girl named Miranda. (yay Chris's life doesn't suck for like the first time ever). Chris's amulet hasn't worked in almost a year.

Chris fights with a couple of raptor pledges and is reunited with former Fraternity of Raptor member Razor who has now reformed and they end up merging. (Razor is who Chris's Darkhawk body really is).

When Chris mentions Project Pegasus my first thought was it was a shame he couldn't reunite with his old friend (and Nova's brother) Robbie who used to be his co-worker there. But I think that bad guy on the last page IS Robbie (Lord Talonar...is he also Razor's buddy/Chris's enemy/fellow raptor Talon or do you just have one raptor named Talon and another one named Talonar).

I really would like to see a Darkhawk series with the Raptors (and Robbie) with Chris as a cop. Now that Darkhawk is an adult with a job he's a lot more interesting than he was in his solo series when he was a teen.

Except for the Fraternity/Razor thing, I did enjoy the story.
