Lightning. Cool. Hispanic and gay so I guess that's why he's in the book. But I like electricity guys so fine. "Playin' cards with Mr. Santos, boss" - for some reason the politeness fascinates me. I keep re-reading that line of dialogue. Redwing. No longer undead and laser-eyed? I guess that happened in some other story, right? I couldn't discern that from what I see in this comic. But I'm glad he's no longer undead and laser-eyed. I just want him to be a bird. He never needed to be anything else but a bird. Captain Marvel always seems to get trapped without access to the Earth. It's a thing with her. Jane-Thor is still active. My comics shop owner doesn't believe she'll die from cancer. He says she's one of the most successful experiments of recent times. Which may not be saying much, but still, he doesn't think Marvel will want to be rid of her. Especially since, as we know, when someone dies from cancer in the Marvel Universe, they stay dead. Hercules is very heroic. Good. That's how he should be. Jarvis ends up in the hospital. Would have been more of a shock if we didn't already know it would be happening. I guess the big question was whether he was dead. He isn't. Yet. Nadia is cool. A true legacy hero. Interesting that she isn't Janet's daughter. Just Hank's. Is Janet totally cool with Nadia calling herself "Wasp"? Jarvis seems to have a thing: caring for teen-age girls. I still remember (fondly) Silverclaw. I don't know why she was so unpopular. I thought she was cool. And I thought the relationship with Jarvis was cool. So now Marvel is reconstituting the Jarvis relationship but with Nadia instead of Silverclaw. OK. I can go with that. Human Torch evaporates a tsunami. Love it. Red Wolf! 'Nuff said. Hawkeye uses a trick arrow. Good. He should always use trick arrows. The alternative is to use pointy arrows that (might) kill people. That's bad. So Red Hulk is some different guy now and he's small but has red skin. OK. Does he get bigger? I see he packs a gun. Squirrel Girl is a gray statue. Good thing. Otherwise she'd defeat the villain single-handedly. Breathe a sigh of relief, villain. Iron Patriot. OK. Pink hair, super-genius. Got it. I'm always a fan of super-heroines with pink hair. I hope she does a lot of cool stuff. In this issue she saves the day for a lot of people. Excellent. Sunspot wears a suit and is called Citizen V nowadays. OK. Does he still have powers? I'm not sure what Nadia expects the Avengers to do for Jarvis. They're not doctors. Except apparently the Beast is, to some extent. So maybe he'll do something awesome for Jarvis. I'd rather have Donald Blake. But we can't have that guy any more. In any case, since I don't know what the Avengers can do for someone medically, I don't know why Rogue made her poorly received comment. Voyager. The big mystery. But she seems cool so far.
