Honestly, I worry that she's not entirely of her own mind.

Very curious - especially her being the (only/real) Avenger the 3 writers seem to spotlight the most, in NO SURRENDER, so far. (Well, kinda Miguel too but not in a very revelatory way.) What do you think of her shared ambiguous chronology with full duty in the X-Books (ie.Astonishing) and her on Unity Squad? Hasn't that just undermined her development with the Avengers? One step forward, two steps back and all that. (Although, to be fair, her unbelievable kissing moment with her polar opposite, Deadpool, was noted in DP's book and her mini with Remy.) Did she ever get credit for 'finding' Xavier's brain in the X-books?

    Corvus is not dead, Jim.
Part of what we know about him is that as long as his staff/blade is immortal.

When did we learn his staff was 'sentient'? Immortal?

No idea why these two aren't frozen. I think Gamesmaster decided arbitrarily to unfreeze them. He's a sneaky bugger.

...making up crappy game rules as he goes along.

    They were never frozen, anyway.

Yeah, no doubt. But why? Hawkeye seems to fit the criteria of SUPERHERO and AVENGER the unknown details behind the picking the Obstacles continue to baffle in a roll-of-the-dice crappy way.
