Hmm... my statement got messed up some way. What I meant was: "...as long as his staff/blade exists, he is immortal." We learned this during the Infinity story, and this is how Thanos ended up killing him in the Thanos series-- by destroying the glaive. How he came back is anyone's guess.

The glaive must surely be a dark force. Could Team Waid be writing a pseudo-Star Wars story here? Sure feels like it. The making of a Sith. Tempted to the dark energies of the glaive by the death of a loved one and a tendency to be led by one's passions. Shades of Anakin. But I think Rogue would be an antihero rather than a villain. Incidentally, I've always felt Sith antiheroes should be possible. Consider the Sith code.

There's no murder in that. No rape, theft, nor even fibs. Trouble is, nothing in it precludes those things either. Be a monster or not, as your passions lead you.

Could be Hawkeye was sufficiently off the grid doing his Occupy thing.

Well, Logan got frozen and he was in Peru somewhere.

By the way, I got the first eight issues of Occupy Avengers for eleven dollars (shipping included) because I really need to stay abreast of this new Red Wolf. I'm gathering a small coterie of cool 21st century heroes. Red Wolf. Wolverine-23 and her sidekick Honey Badger. Weapon H. Who knew this century could be OK?
