I just finished reading Avengers: Assault on Olympus. At the end of the story, Zeus forbids all Olympians from stepping foot on Earth. Obviously, this decreed doesn't last. I was curios when and why does Zeus lift the decreed?

Well, it didn't take long for Herc to disobey. He returned for the Evolutionary War annuals to fight High Evolutionary. This eventually came to a head in Avengers 384, when Zeus stripped Herc of his godhood.

The Olympians never really mattered much for Earth anyway. I recall Pluto appearing here and there (mostly in Thor), but I'm pretty sure the decree was still in effect.

Then the Olympians got destroyed by Mikoboshi, and Herc and Ares were about the only Olympians left alive (the 2000s Ares mini). So, it didn't matter.
