    Quote:
I think that Carol Danvers is one of the most inconsistent characters in the MU. First she was female military and the love interest of the original Captain Marvel. Then she was the editor of a not really feminist women's magazine. After the Rogue attack she struggled for a long time to regain her memories (nobody talks about this these days). Then she was the mentally unstable alcoholic (Warbird). After she changed her name to Captain Marvel she became the tough as nails military character who almost killed everybody during Civil War II. These days (penned by my beloved Kelly Thompson) she is the nice hero everybody just has to love. I like her this way, but it is hard to believe that all this is the same person. What do you think?

She didn't really struggle that long. Xavier restored her memories before she left the hospital after Rogue. She just didn't have any emotional connection to the memories. It's always been my opinion that this problem was more psychological than physical.

TBH, I thought she was a lot tougher in the Reed series BEFORE she changed her codename to Captain.

I don't find it very hard to accept any of it, because she's not really changed much. She's just had a whole lotta crap happen to her. She was great back in the 70s. Part of what got me into the Avengers was the her, Simon, and Beast trio.
