For starters, I'm a "one step away" Batman fan too, so I'm curious about this for two reasons.

Thing is, I'm not sure if the book is out yet, so I'm being careful not to spoil.

Someone posted a panel from the book on the Superman board, showing Batman with someone who seemed to be Black Canary, but she was wearing a Batwoman/Huntress style mask.

Since when?

WAS it Black Canary, or was it someone else?

Batman also makes a comment about Superman being too stupid to even know he can fly.

Is this some kind of flashbaack? Is it an alternate reality? Present continuity seems to suggest young Clark already knew he could fly, so he's sure have known it before Batman first appeared.

Was Batman talking about a costumed Superman, or just Clark Kent, yet to first appear as Superman?

Could someone clear this up for me? I'm curious.

It was Black Canary, or will be. She did wear a mask for a few issues back in the 1940's but not for long.

It's the "Frank Miller-Batverse", where the events of "Batman and Robin", "Dark Knight Returns" and "Dark Knight Strikes Again" all happened, but is distinct from the mainstream DCU.

Superman couldn't fly in his earliest appearances, he could leap tall buildings and run very fast, but not fly per se. This is sort of a reference to that.
