I just watched Batman Returns for the first time ever, and I hated it. I felt like the Penguin and Catwoman's origins were stupid. While I like Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, I was a little disappointed they made Selina Kyle Bruce's love interest in the second half of the movie. In her first scene after her death during Shrek and Wayne's meeting, she has this great spark of insanity that disappears they next time we see her as Selina. And while I don't really have a problem with the Penguin taking over the Batmobile, having the Red Triangle Circus Gang able to break into it after Batman puts up the shields really didn't make any sense. Batman was a good, but flawed, film. I felt that Batman Returns was just flawed. Does anyone agree with me?
