What to say about this issue. It is really decompressed and all is set up.
It starts with Hal Green Lantern getting Jokerized and killing himself. Booster Gold runs around looking for Batman. Finds him and we learn it is Dick Grayson. We see Tim Drake as a cubicle drone, Ra’s and Talia saying how no one is good enough for her and no grand kids for Ra’s.
Booster finds Bruce who is dancing with his mom at his parents’ anniversary party. Booster said I am here because I wanted to give the bestest wedding gift ever so I went and saved your parents’ lives, thus eliminating the reason for you to be Batman.
Dick on the other hand still is an orphan and REALLY likes guns.
Bruce said something felt off and smashes a 24th century time traveling drone with a fireplace poker. You would think such tech would be tougher than a three year old cell phone.
Continued same bat time, same bat channel.
What bothered me was the plot mad no sense. Of course saving the Waynes’ lives would have huge consequences. How could it not. What was the point?
It is Roger Ebert’s classic idiot plot ball. The story only works because Booster is an idiot. That is bad writing. And the art. Not bad or anything, but it lacks pop. But I would not argue with anyone who liked it. Like I said it as not bad.
Can’t really say I liked this issue, but also can’t say it wa# terrible. It was just there.
But the plot really is so dumb. That bothers me.
Or I could be wrong.

WTH?
You are right: Booster is an IDIOT!
If not for the
GORGEOUS ART this was a big waste of time (pun noted).
An argument could be made that the Moore's Black Mercy 'special issue'
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/For_the_Man_Who_Has_Everything had the 'REAL' Clark experiencing that created reality compared to this recreated Bruce (from the iconic moment his parents were supposed to die) is not even the 'REAL' Batman of the title.
This might have worked better as a 'Special Issue' but as a serial installment it was 20 pages of
annoying misplaced Elsewords-at-best that is to be
cringingly continued next issue again.
BAH!
