I've little doubt McDuffie will follow Hudlin's characterization, and I'm not fond of that. > > Translation: "Any friend of Hudlin is an enemy of mine." Don't ASSume to know my mind, please. You took issue when I did so to you, remember? > > There is enormous room for any writer to write a chacter his own way while staying in sinc with the character's happenings in another book. Based on the "mentor" status Hudlin gives to McDuffie, in all likelihood, Hudlin will be attempting to follow McDuffie's lead. But it is totally unfair to pre-judge his characterization of T'Challa based on your personal dislike for Hudlin and his writing as opposed to its own merits. Did you judge Bendis's depiction of Panther similarly or Eric Dickie's? My opinion actually comes from my respect of McDuffie. Hudlin writes Panther's main title, and regardless of my opinions of his quality, he has every right to set Panther's characterization. I think Dwayne, as a professional, will respect that. Perhaps McDuffie will be a good influence on Reggie's writing, but I doubt it. Hudlin's taken nearly 24 issues to do a half way decent story. I'm not about to shell out money on the hope that Hudlin will improve. | |||||||
