Actually it was, according to Priest. Please explain that plot point further. I'm going to have to go back and check on that. If I'm not mistaken you are referring to her parents being part of the Gorilla Cult and the fact they were against Wakandan technology, right?

Modern (Western) weapons, complex building structures, Western clothing, alot more people than a "village," let alone Klaw having a nice cup of tea with T'Chaka before the smackdown.

> As for culturally, Wakanda simply had an undertone of arrogance with regards to outsiders. Whether they were superior or not is something Priest left up to the readers.

Except for when the narrator states "Wakanda was culturally and technologically superior to Europe...until Klaw."

Err, care to explain where Priest stated they had advanced tech?

As for Queen, Panther's introduction of advanced tech weakened his rule somewhat. As he began to appease dissenters, some of the people in his party saw it as an opportunity to wipe out the cult. Hence Queeny's parents getting nixed.

How is that advanced tech? With apologies to Stan and Kirby, they presented Wakanda as a stereotypical tribe from Africa. Priest simply made them logically modern.

Where was that?
