Marc Dematteis If you do not want Priest then how about the other veteran Black Panther writer Don McGregor. I want someone that understands Black Panther to write Black Panther. I just cannot see anyone writing Black Panther as Black Panther other than Priest and Don McGregor. These are the guys that should be writing Black Panther. All the other writers such as Ed Brubaker, Kurt Buseik, and Peter David would be perfect to write a few issues of Black Panther under Priest or McGregor's direction. However, I would not have these writers write a series of Black Panther because they have not demonstrated that they understand Black Panther, writing Black Panther right for several issues is a very difficult job, and as great as these writers are even they would have a hard time writing Black Panther correctly for a long run. The only writers that for a fact have write Black Panther right for a long run are Don McGregor and Christopher Priest. These guys have more than proved themselves and they both deserve another shot at writing Black Panther along with other comic book properties.
