Previous Post

I have never known of any other Black Panthers other than the names mentioned, it is about time that there should be a mini series showing the rise of the Wakandan nation.

Before the the arrival of the Vibranium and then after it's arrival and the effects of this precious metal upon a growing technological nation.

In Priest run there was a showing of other kings before T'cahlla's time, but not a great deal of information. Another area that needs to be looked at why hasn't there been, an updated story upon Azania since approx 1988 what of Wakanda's mutant population was there a growing population before the House of M?

R. Shabazz, thanks for your reply. I did some digging and actually found a one-panel appearance of BASHENGA (the first Black Panther) during issue #7 of Kirby's run on the title. It also reveals the first appearance of vibranium in Wakanda. Interestingly enough, T'Challa also mentions that none of his previous Panther ancestors have ever died in bed, which I guess means they've all been killed. I'd said that's very intriguing.

You're right that the history of Wakanda is definitely good material for a limited series. It'll probably never happen, but I'd love to see it.
