It is as though all the writers went on vacation after working so hard after the Civil War event. This isn't a Skrull Storyline. It's a Zombies storyline that features Skrulls. The Zombies are popular. Panther battled Doom not too long ago, and the result was complaints. Capt. America is dead, but before he died, the two sparred. Panther battled Iron Man not too long ago. Panther battled the Inhumans not too long ago. Panther battled Ninjas not to long ago. The Zombies are something different. We can't keep the same theme throughout. After this arc, Panther takes on Psycho Man.

I different range of foes is vital to a good book, but a series should keep to a certain genre, IMO, to maintain the title character's strength, whatever they may be. I don't think Hudlin's Panther has done that, but preferences vary.
