Priest's record may be challenged as the longest-running BP writer but it sounds like Sal & my record will, with much pride, remain intact as longest-running BP artists for the time being;-)

I really do not see what the big news is. Marvel has marketed Hudlin's Black Panther like crazy and has had Black Panther involved in several crossovers which is really the only reason Black Panther is selling so well.

Priest will be remembered for all time as one of the greatest comic book writers ever, with his Black Panther run as the best besides McGregor's Black Panther run.

Hudlin will be remembered as one of several bad comic book writers working at Marvel Comics a few years before the collapse of Marvel Comics. People will remember Hudlin with disdain because in all his Black Panther he accomplished nothing with Black Panther.

Dwayne Turner will be recalled as the highlight of Black Panther's adventures during the Hudlin years, which makes Hudlin pretty much insignificant.
